Weekly Storage for week ending 2-1-2008.
Stocks are at 2,062 billion cubic feet ( Bcf ). 13.3 percent lower than last year and 3.1 percent higher than the 5-year average at this time. This week's net withdrawal of 200 Bcf is in the high-range of trade reported analysts' total expectations of around a 185 to 210 Bcf withdrawal. Last year had a total withdrawal for the same week of 224 Bcf. Stocks at the same time last year were at 2,379 Bcf while the five-year average stocks at this time were at 2,000 Bcf. The weather last week was 15 percent warmer than last year and 3 percent warmer than normal for the same week.
Stocks in the Consuming East are 3 percent higher than the 5-year average, 9 percent lower than the 5-year average in the Consuming West, and 9 percent higher than the 5-year average in the Producing Region.
